Next - Copper Homeware Range

You know you are getting old when you get excited over new appliances for your kitchen and thats exactly how I was when I picked up a few bits from the Next homewares range. I wanted to modernise my kitchen as everything was quite plain and mismatched, I chose to get everything in a copper colour as its quickly become my new obsession.

MooGoo - Protein Shot.

Hi, I am back again with a review on this amazing product.

Life.Of.Lynda
MooGoos - Protein Shot

For as long as I can remember I have HATED my hair, I've always struggled to style it or make it look anyway decent, it's got a mind of its own a very flat, thin, dry mind of its own! I have never come across a product that has suited my hair until I started using MooGoos Protein Shot Leave In Conditioner it has simply transformed my hair.

As the Mammy of a 2 year old I seldom get time to myself during the day so I always have my showers at night (so I can enjoy them) but that means the only place I get to go with my clean, fresh hair is bed. I could plait my hair, tie it in a ponytail or leave it down but in the morning my hair would always be knotty and frizzy, until I started using this product. I applied one pump of the Protein Shot to my wet hair after my shower, dried it as normal and went to bed.

I woke up the next morning and my hair wasn't frizzy at all, it was as fresh and as bouncy as the night before, I also found during the day that my hair didn't get as tangled as it usually would. I am still in amazement as to how something worked so well on my hair but this is a gem of a conditioner. The special thing about it is it doesn't have silicone in it so the products it does contain work to strengthen and protect the hair rather than just coating it. This was a purchase I made after reading good reviews about it. I found it in my local chemist for €11.95. It can be bought in most chemists or from their website MooGoo.ie.
All their products contain only natural ingredients and won't break the bank either. A big thumbs up from me.

Caviar For Your Face (Part 2)

Hi,

As I mentioned in a previous post I absolutely love the Caviar Skin Care range from Aldi, I currently use both the day and night cream but I recently picked up their 3 Minute Cell Renewal Peel Mask.

This face mask is a weekly treatment that contains concentrated exfoliants to help gently restructure the skins surface. Along with Caviar it also contains Papaya enzyme complex and AHA's that help to relieve the skin of dead skin cells while minimising pores, leaving your face feeling fresher and looking more vibrant. This mask can be used 3 times a week but recommended only once a week for younger skin.

I have used this twice already and I really like it. Along with the mask you get a small brush to apply the it with, just brush a light layer onto cleansed skin, wait 3 minutes and rinse off, it's as simple as that.

My skin afterwards felt and looked smoother and there was a definite difference in the appearance of my pores. I love this range of skin care and for just over €8 from Aldi its a win win.

L'oréals Extraordinary Clay

Hi All,

So at this stage everyone has heard of the Extraordinary Clay range of hair products from L'oréal, if not I am going to fill you in.

I was intrigued by these products as they sounded right up my street, I have thin, flat, lifeless hair that goes greasy the minute I am finished drying it, so I thought my prayers had been answered. Along with the shampoo and conditioner they also brought out a dry shampoo and a pre-wash mask. I only purchased the shampoo and the mask as I had never used a pre-wash mask before.

The mask works by applying it to wet hair and leaving it for a few minutes to soak up all the oils from your hair then you just shampoo and condition as normal. My first impressions of these were good as I definitely noticed I got at least and extra day if not 2 out of my hair. I used the shampoo on its own a few times and even that alone made a big difference to my hair, these are definitely products that don't go hand in hand and you can mix and match through the whole range.

However the more I used them the more I felt I was damaging and drying out my hair by stripping too much of the natural oils from it. For people that have thin hair we are definitely stuck in the middle of having too dry or too greasy hair. I have since stopped using the shampoo as the ends of my hair can be quite dry anyway, but once every fortnight I will use the mask just to get all the product build up out of my hair, I think it will be a product I will always keep in my shower. After using these however I do believe if you have thick hair that goes greasy too quick then these are the products for you. It really does work on greasy hair just not thin greasy hair.
