My Thoughts - Pippa Palette & Blank Canvas

Happy Sunday Everyone,

I mentioned the Pippa Palette in one of my previous post about my favourite highlighters but even I am bit shocked I have never done a full review on it because it is a really great purchase. Pippa (from pippa.ie) teamed up with Blank Canvas and designed a face and eye palette, containing 6 powder eyeshadows and 3 face shades also powders. This palette has everything you need in one place and is the perfect size making it super handy if you travel a lot or just to pop in your handbag if you need to top up your make up during the day. Quality is amazing and the pigmentation of all the powders are perfect.

Fake Tan Must Haves

Hi all,

So us Irish Girls love a bit of tan, lets face it its pretty hard to get a natural one around here so we have no other choice only turn to the bottle. I have tried my fair share of tans, I am not a die hard tan fan so I haven't tried them all but since Ive started using this brand of tan I haven't needed to try any others.

My Favourite is Cocoa Brown Tan by Marissa Carter (Ultimate Girl Boss). Marissa has thought of absolutely everything when she developed this range of tan, it has a product for everybody, from Tanning Wipes, to Instant Tan and Dry Oils. And the best part is the price, all her products are super affordable and can all be purchased in Penneys.

I have chosen my 3 favourites from the range and if you have yet to give them a try these are my must haves.

The One Hour Tan

This is by far my favourite! This is a developing mousse that you shower off after an hour or the longer you leave the darker it gets, it is also buildable which means even if you apply 2 layers (or more) it still looks great! The colour of this tan is amazing, such a natural bronze colour with not a bit of orange in sight (we all know those tan disasters when you realise you resemble an Oompa Loompa) It is so easy to apply and goes on so well, it is nearly impossible to get streaky, I say nearly because I have managed to get streaks from fake tan that claim to be streak free....This Cocoa Brown Tan though is fool proof.

Golden Goddess Oil

This is just one of the best inventions from Cocoa Brown. It is a dry shimmering body oil and the glow from it is incredible, it can be used as a body oil for all over to give a lovely glow or you can use it on your face as a highlighter or mix it through your foundation for a dewy finish. This originally came in a golden colour but soon after a Rose Gold Goddess oil was released (this being my favourite) which is just as beautiful as it sounds and then just last Christmas gone and gift set was released which contained smaller sizes of the Golden and Rose Gold oil but also came with a new colour, Ice Goddess. Ice Goddess can now be bought in a full 500ml bottle.

Instant Tan

This again is another life saver, this tan is instant so there is no waiting for it to develop which is great if you make last minute plans. One thing I love about this is if you are wearing ripped jeans, just apply it with a make up brush to where the rips are and nobody has to know that you don't have a full body tan done lol. This product can be bought in Matte and Shimmer, although I haven't used the Shimmer one, using the Golden Goddess Oil with the Matte one is the exact same thing.

Tanning Wipes

I love too much about this brand to narrow it down to 3 items. I used Tanning Wipes before but hated them and had a complete tan disaster with them so I never really used them again until I saw Sarah Ashcroft talking about these and how easy and natural they are, so I purchased them. I am so glad I did because I never put tan on my face I use these wipes to match my head with my body, and I get such a natural glow from them, my face never looks like its fake tanned just a natural tan from the sun.

*Scrub - Tough Stuff

Whether you tan or not this scrub is a must have, it removes old tan perfectly and doesn't leave all those horrible patches all your body. This can be used just as an exfoliant even if you don't tan, it smooths elbows, knees and ankles and leaves skin feeling so smooth and doesn't dry it out at all.

Hope you enjoy and please tell me about your favourite tans,

My Thoughts - P.S Pure Glow

Hi all, hope you are having a lovely Wednesday,

I am obsessed with Highlighters at the minute and with the summer months coming they are perfect for adding to a sun kissed glow. My favourite highlighter by a mile is the Catrice High Glow Mineral Highlighting Powder which retails at €5.50. So for no other reason than the packaging was gorgeous and the price equally as nice I picked up this Highlighter Palette from Penneys, for €6, recently and I am really shocked by it.

Penneys have really up their game when it comes to the make up side of things, I have tried a lot of things down through the years that were absolutely rubbish but lately everything I am buying I love and would repurchase again. The packaging on this is a fabulous Marble and Rose Gold, my guilty pleasures, and an instagram worthy prop.

First thing I did when I got this palette was swatched them and the pigmentation is insane, there is a white, gold, bronze and pink pigment and each one of them is better than the next. It contains a colour for any occasion, from day time to night time, and comes in a handy size palette which would fit in most make up bags.

So if you love a strong Highlight or you are looking for one to start with I would definitely recommend this palette from Penneys, or the Catrice one, but for moneys worth the Penneys one wins.

Enjoy,

L'Oréal Fine Flowers - Toner

Hello again,

I have a previous post written about my love for the new L'orèal Fine Flowers Cream Cleanser so I decided to purchase the Fine Flowers Toner also. I usually wouldn't use a toner as I find them quite harsh on my skin and end up drying it out but I said I'd pick this one up and try it. Just like the Cream Cleanser it gets a thumbs up from me. It doesn't dry out my skin at all, in fact I barely know I have used a toner.

I would have quite combination to oily skin, thankfully I don't suffer from dry skin too often but this leaves my skin feeling soft and really clean. I don't find it greasy when its applied, it soaks into the skin really quickly and it is definitely not drying because that is where a toner loses me, I found so many different ones drying that I stopped using them altogether. It also removes any excess make up thats left on the skin, which is great for showing up how bad a job you did washing your face lol. It is suitable for dry and sensitive skin. The cleanser contains a blend of Rose, which soothes and comforts the skin, and Jasmine, which protects and moisturises. Its comes in a 400ml bottle so it is going to last for ages too, I picked up mine from Boots for €6.99.

My Thoughts - Clearasil Rapid Action Pads

I'm back again with another review.

I have always had fairly good skin, yeah its by no means perfect but when it comes to spots and breakouts I am lucky enough to not have to worry about them. That is most of the time anyway.

When I do get a breakout it tends to be around my forehead and chin, no matter where they are we hate spots they ruin our make up and our confidence but the one product I keep going back to is the Clearasil Rapid Action Pads.

These are amazing for clearing up spots nearly overnight. I only use them at night because they can be quite harsh, and I only apply to the effected area. I find the real sore spots are no where near as sore the next day and although the marks might be still there the 'lumpiness' of them is almost completely gone. For me I find 3 days is all it takes to really clear up a breakout. I am on my 3rd tub of these pads and although I don't use them everyday they keep for ages in the tub. Definitely a another must have for me. Get them here for €7.49.

Enjoy, Lynda x

My Thoughts - Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask

Happy Saturday Everyone,

Now I love a good pamper night but to be honest after running around after my son all day some times I am too tired (and lazy) to put on masks and have to rinse them off again, this is why I adore these Moisture Bomb Tissue Masks from Garnier.

You literally take the tissue out of the packet, pop the white side on your face, peel off the blue side, adjust it to suit your face and sit back for 15 minutes. Then to remove it all you have to do is peel off the tissue and massage in the excess serum or remove it with a cotton pad.

The Mask contains Pomegranate Extract and Hyaluronic Acid which helps to rehydrate the skin and reduce the look of fine lines. It definitely rehydrates the skin and makes it look more radiant and healthy and it is suitable for all skin types even sensitive. I really like how this leaves my skin looking and feeling so much so I think I am on my 5th mask already and for €2 its perfect for your (lazy) pamper night.

Hope you enjoy,
